Jill Bajorek, LCSW

Your experiences and perceptions are real because they’re yours.  When you feel a certain way, it is significant, even if others may suggest that what’s on our mind is “really not that big of a deal.”  If your instinct is telling you something doesn’t feel right, you deserve a chance to explore that.  I want to explore those ideas with you, and provide a space where you feel comfortable talking about whatever you want in a safe and judgment-free zone.  I want to encourage you to sit with the uncomfortable feelings you may be having so we can recognize that they are real.  We can then begin to look at what’s behind those feelings and work towards a better sense of control over them.

Often times, our issues include other factors than what we see on the surface.  I like taking an encompassing approach to learn about you on many different levels, like your social circles, cultural expectations, work environment, etc., to understand you better.  Most importantly, I will follow your lead with what you want to talk about, and I will provide support and offer ideas along the way.

I enjoy working with adults across the lifespan who struggle with anxiety and depression, and specifically with the LGBTQ community, and those struggling with social exclusion.  Let’s work together with the goal of understanding the unpleasant feelings so they become more manageable.  Please feel free to contact me for a complimentary in-person, phone, or video consultation.
